We have had another busy week and I would like to congratulate everyone on participating so well in the Field Day events.
Even though the elementary fun games were canceled, I hope you all enjoyed our games on the new basketball court.
Even I got to compete in the fun teacher's race. My team had to wear purple hair. It was lots of fun.
We had a delicious pizza party on Thursday. We won this party by raising the 2nd greatest amount at the carnival. Thanks again to all the parents who worked so hard to organize our booth.

Our crab walked out of his old shell a week ago and was very happy in his new shell. Unfortunately, the crab decided the tank was too small for him and he crawled out. Now he is no-where to be found. I hope he is happy where ever he is.
Jolene’s bear enjoyed sleeping in his new hanging cave under her desk.
We have begun rehearsing for our Christmas performance and although we had a bad start, I am sure the rest will go more smoothly. We will use Home Room Hour, music class, and some PE classes for rehearsal. Nearer the time we might need to have a few after school rehearsals. We will continue to learn our class dance and learn the songs to support the rest of the classes. Our costumes are very simple since the students need to wear their class Tshirts, blue jeans, and sneakers.
This is the plan for next week:
Math – Temperature (customary system), Estimating and measuring length and capacity (metric system).
English – “The Case of the Three Bears Breakfast”, Review Theme 2 Grammar, Phonics, and Comprehension skills.
Science – Complete food chains and webs
Western Social Studies – Review Chapter 3

Chapter 5 and 6 Math deals with multiplication. Memorizing the multiplication tables is essential to completing these chapters successfully and therefore we will be having multiplication tables quizzes every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday beginning next week (Tuesday 17th November).
