Weeks 16 to 18

At flag ceremony last week 3b received a clean up award again. Great work guys!.

Well done to Justin for receiving the Student of the Month Award.

In Science we have been learning about landforms and we used flour dough to create a variety of landforms – glacier, plateau, peninsular, river valley, mountain range, island, plain, and volcano. We even managed to make the volcano erupt using vinegar, food coloring, and soda powder.

Congratulations to Alica, Jonathan, Joshua, and Jasmine for becoming 4 and 5 times tables Wizards. Keep up the good work.

Well done to all our Homework Machines for trying your best with your homework. Remember to always turn in your homework on time and to do your homework the best you can.

3b had fun in Art trying to break the PiƱata they had made.

Everyone took turns to put up some decorations on our Christmas calendar and Christmas tree. They also popped some balloons to count down to our Christmas party.

We ate cupcakes and opened gifts on Friday 18th December.

Thanks to Christina and all the parents and students of 3b for the beautiful Christmas card and all the wonderful gifts. My family so enjoyed the Taiwan snacks you gave me to take and share with them.

Our tomato plant has tomatoes .. so now we just need to wait for them to ripen and we can eat our very own class grown tomatoes.

We had fun sampling Bar One Chocolate from South Africa. We also had the chance to try Aero Chocolate and now we know why Officer Mike called his dog Aero .. because it is very sweet.

We had a great time on our substitute Christmas day. Santa came and brought wild animal pencils in the morning and then we had great fun at our Christmas party in the afternoon. We danced, played pass the parcel, exchanged gifts and sampled some snacks from SA. Thanks to all the parents who helped.

We have a special visitor until the end of semester. My niece, Sarah, from New Zealand is visiting while Mr DB is in SA. 3b have already enjoyed her company as she has taught them some fun dances and hand games.

Here’s some photos of my family Christmas in SA. Thank you all for your support and understanding so that I could join my family during this special time.
